Welcome to Apukka Resort in Rovaniemi

Beautiful place with fantastic grounds for exploring the aurora borealis at night. I really enjoyed walking a crossed the lake and photographing the snow covered tree stands. The lodging was fantastic and the breakfast was the best buffet I have ever had. The sleighs for transporting baggage was also a very cool touch. Thanks!

We went to Rovaniemi for a weekend break away to do outdoor activities with the family in the snow. We did the snow scooters at night, a husky ride, the sauna experience and horse riding. All excellent and perfectly organized (including additional warm clothing) but of those is the horse riding is one not to miss for experienced and non experienced riders! As a bonus we saw the Northern Lights and last but not least we enjoyed the perfect cabins and the hospitality of the staff.

Absolutely magical!!! This was the trip of a lifetime! We had only booked two nights originally due to visiting other places in Scandinavia and the pricing. We regretted it the second we got there and wished we had stayed longer. The resort property is absolutely stunning and our Aurora cabin was beautiful and cozy. We did the snowshoeing tour across the frozen lake and the Aurora husky tour. Visiting the animals (reindeer, horses and huskies) during the day was definitely a highlight. The best part was definitely seeing the Northern lights right from our cabin windows! Highly recommend. You wont' regret traveling to Lapland and this beautiful resort. Worth every penny.
