Apukka Resort has EVERYTHING you could want for a Winter Wonderland getaway. Our activities included a husky ride, reindeer ride, snowmobile tour to search for the northern lights (which we were lucky enough to find), and a sauna/icy dip lakeside experience, but there is much more than that even.

The location is super close– only 10-20 mins– to Santa Clause Village, downtown Rovaniemi, and the airport. They have a shuttle that goes to all three if you don’t want to rent a car. A huge buffet breakfest is included with your stay as well as several winter gear items — coveralls, snow boots, wool socks, and gloves.

The staff is very friendly and willing to help with any concern or issue. We had such a magical time, I would come back every winter season if I could!

We are from Australia and had been following Apukka Resort on Instagram for a long time, dreaming of visiting one day. When that day finally came, it was nothing like what you see in pictures, it was far more beautiful, elegant, and magical in person.

From the peaceful Arctic surroundings to the thoughtfully designed accommodation, every detail felt special. Waking up surrounded by snow, experiencing the stillness of nature, and witnessing the northern lights from such a serene setting was truly unforgettable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making our stay perfect.

Apukka is not just a place to stay, it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave. A dream come true and a memory we will treasure forever.

I spent 5 days at the Apukka Resort with my parents during the fall and we all can’t stop talking about how incredible everything was! From the cozy, stylish igloos to the mouth-watering cuisine & seemingly neverending activities, it’s safe to say we were never bored. In fact, we ran out of time to do everything we wanted to at the resort alone. This is a truly special property and we hope to come back and experience the other seasons here, as well. P.s. The Husky experience is a MUST.

Lapland has been an absolute dream, and Apukka was breathtakingly stunning with its glass igloos, lake and trees all covered in powdered snow during our early winter stay in November.

We thoroughly enjoyed the husky ride into the snowy forest, and had an absolutely fabulous time playing with and learning about the huskies. Apukka served a good hearty spread of breakfast buffet too! Service by their staff was superb too – everyone of them – from receptionists, transportation team, huskies guides, to the waiters and waitresses – it was an absolute joy and magic to experience Apukka in Lapland.
