Our Autumn Arctic Animals Excursions

Furry animal friends are the superstars of Lapland. In our autumn tours, you meet huskies, reindeer, and Finn horses in Apukka Resort and dozens of Arctic animals on the day trip to Ranua Wildlife Park.

Autumn is the training season for Arctic sled dogs. So hop on to our special training carriage and ride through autumn forests and fields. Huskies are so eager to run after lazy summer. In autumn, we have smaller groups, so getting deeper into the husky lifestyle and the world of huskies is easy.

The day trip to Ranua Wildlife Park is great for those interested in all kinds of animal friends. More than 50 Arctic animal species and over 200 individual animals are waiting for you in this natural wildlife park. The park also has a rescue program for wounded and threatened wild animals.

Majestic Finn horses take you to the carriage ride through the dark autumn night. Learn more about this original horse breed of Finland and how those kind but stubborn animals have helped us, Finnish people, to survive through centuries in good and bad times. If you are lucky, you will see the Northern Lights while traveling in the carriage like the old days. Then, you’ll listen to nothing but the silence of nature and the sound of horse hooves.
