Autumn Aurora Borealis Tours

in Rovaniemi, Lapland

Our Autumn Northern Lights Excursions

( September – November )

The Aurora Borealis season begins every year in late August and lasts until early April. Some of the best Northern Lights shows are witnessed in autumn, although the common misbelief is that the Lights are visible only on cold winter nights. We prove this idea wrong on our autumn Aurora tours in Apukka Resort and its surroundings.

Our Resort is between two lakes in Finnish Lapland, making it the perfect spot for Autumn Auroras. The Aurora Borealis’ speciality in autumn is the so-called Double Aurora phenomenon. This happens when Aurora arches are reflected to open water, and you can simultaneously see the Northern Lights on the sky and the water surface.

Reasons to hunt Aurora Borealis in autumn (September-November):

Our professional guides lead you to nature to hunt the Northern Lights by husky carriage, horse carriage, or car.

Kindly note that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon. Participating in an Aurora excursion in Apukka with a professional guide will increase the chances of witnessing the Northern Lights. Still, we can never fully guarantee their appearance.
