November Horse Tours FAQ

Will I be driving the horse sleigh myself?

No, all our horse sleighs are operated by professional guides. Each large sleigh can accommodate approximately six to eight people. Our guide will assign guests to specific sleighs to ensure proper weight distribution.

What is the difference between your two sleigh tours?

The “Horse Sleigh Ride under the Night Sky”, as the name suggests, takes place at night and is longer than “Horse Sleigh Ride in the Arctic”, as we take breaks and go to clearings to watch the night sky.

I’m a total novice – can I still ride a horse?

Of course! We offer separate tours for beginners and experienced riders. Our beginner tours are at a serene pace, while the experienced riders enjoy a faster ride. You don’t need any previous experience for the beginner’s tour.

Is there a weight limit for horseback riding?

Yes, there is a weight limit of 95 kilograms.

What rules should I follow while horseback riding?

You must always follow the guide’s instructions and stay on the designated path, as the terrain beyond it can be challenging. This is why everyone must wear helmets! These rules are in place to ensure the safety of both the rider and the horse.

Do you provide transfers from the city center / Santa’s Village?

Yes, the price of the activity includes transfers with our shuttle bus.

Rovaniemi city center bus stop: Korkalonkatu 36, Rovaniemi, close to Apukka Rovaniemi City Apartments.

Santa Claus Village: Santa Claus Village’s bus stop by the main road (road E75).
