I absolutely loved my stay at Apukka Resort. The setting and nature in autumn are incredible and I had the opportunity to see the Northern Lights, which was on my bucket list. Our cabin was new, super clean, the food was very high quality and there were too many options to choose from. I loved the activities, especially kayaking on the lake and the night Aurora train trip to a cabin in the woods to observe the northern lights. Everybody was extremely kind, you can tell it is a top notch resort.

We spent 5 unforgettable days at the Apukka Resort for our honeymoon and could not have wished for anything better. The atmosphere you breathe from the very first moment is magical, with a perfect balance between the authentic charm of Lapland and the comforts of a high-level facility.
​Staying in the aurora family cabin with a view of the stream and the lake was a sublime experience: the privacy, the silence of the surrounding nature, and the panoramic view directly from the bed make every moment special. Waking up to that landscape while you admire the sunrise and falling asleep in the evening scanning the stars in the hope of catching the northern lights dancing in the sky from your own room is priceless.

​Apukka Resort manages to stand out thanks to an extraordinary staff, always smiling, thoughtful, and attentive to every smallest detail they made our honeymoon truly unique. A culinary excellence: The dining exceeded all our expectations, refined dishes that enhance local ingredients with a modern touch, presented with care and accompanied by an excellent selection. Not to mention the excursions they are organized to perfection, with expert guides, top-quality equipment, and time management that allows you to experience nature without ever feeling like "passing tourists." The resort offers the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation, guaranteeing intimate and quiet spaces ideal for couples but also for singles and families.

Our stay at Apukka resort was amazing. We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary there. The cabins are so well presented. One standout for us was the staff. They are so friendly and helpful. We certainly recommend Apukka and will definitely be back.

Apukka Resort is a true gem, located just about 17 km from Rovaniemi. Outside the busy peak tourist season, it’s the ultimate getaway from the city—a place where you can experience Lapland's nature in its purest, most breathtaking form.
​The staff here are simply wonderful—always ready to help and happy to chat and share adventure stories whenever they have a spare moment. Special shout-outs and a huge round of applause go to Monika from the Adventure House, as well as Tomi, our Gold Rush guide and host for our private sauna & jacuzzi session. They truly deserve "Employee of the Year" awards!
​While Apukka offers a great variety of activities, they have one absolute standout experience: the "Walk with Reindeer". It’s an unforgettable adventure that everyone should add to their bucket list! Walking through the forest with such a unique companion—who has his own strong personality, chooses his own paths, and leaves you wondering whether you’re walking him or he’s walking you—is pure magic. And if you’re lucky, he might even share a story or two in his own reindeer language!

The property is great having multiple activities arranged by them which can be pre-booked or can book at the resort itself. They will help out in preparing the itinerary like heavy-to-light adventurous the way one is comfortable. However, they do not have much Vegan options (so make your own arrangements). Staff if excellent and provides great hospitality.

I had a very pleasant stay at Apukka Resort. The room was very nice and had a wonderful view. However, there were quite a lot of dead insects around the window, which was a little unpleasant. Also, I was not particularly impressed with the rice dishes. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but these points could be improved.
