It was a short and unforgettable vacation. The resort is stunning, the view of the lake, the staff at the reception, the buffet, and the Aitta restaurant were always very friendly, helpful, and smiling. In many years of traveling, we have never seen so much attention paid to guests. We will definitely return in the future, in winter and with snow.

very nice staff, very good culturally appropriate accommodation, I would inquire beforehand which activities take place when, as some are not mentioned in the information letters such as fishing trips or canoe trips, aurora tours are always offered and I would possibly orient myself accordingly. more details can be found at the latest on site in the activity house opposite the reception, it is open until 9 pm. guests are very mixed by nationality.

Our stay at Apukka Resort was truly magical from start to finish and easily one of the most memorable experiences our family has ever had.

We stayed in a Family Cabin, and it could not have been more perfect for us. The cabin was comfortable, cozy, and incredibly well designed. The beds were extremely comfortable, and one of the highlights was being able to look up at the sky from our cabin and watch the Northern Lights on clear nights. Seeing the aurora from the comfort of our own cabin was an experience we will never forget.

The staff throughout the resort were fantastic. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The entire property has a special atmosphere that really makes you feel like you are experiencing Lapland rather than simply staying at a hotel.

We also loved the little touches, including the complimentary hot chocolate and coffee refills, which quickly became part of our daily routine. After spending time outside in the cold, coming back and enjoying a hot drink made the experience even better.

What impressed us most was how well everything came together the location, accommodations, atmosphere, staff, and opportunity to experience the Arctic surroundings. It is difficult to think of anything we would change about our stay.

If you are traveling to Rovaniemi, especially as a family or hoping to experience the Northern Lights, I would highly recommend Apukka Resort. It was worth the trip, and we left with memories our family will have for a lifetime. We would absolutely stay here again.

We spent 5 unforgettable days at the Apukka Resort for our honeymoon and could not have wished for anything better. The atmosphere you breathe from the very first moment is magical, with a perfect balance between the authentic charm of Lapland and the comforts of a high-level facility.
​Staying in the aurora family cabin with a view of the stream and the lake was a sublime experience: the privacy, the silence of the surrounding nature, and the panoramic view directly from the bed make every moment special. Waking up to that landscape while you admire the sunrise and falling asleep in the evening scanning the stars in the hope of catching the northern lights dancing in the sky from your own room is priceless.

Not to mention the excursions they are organized to perfection, with expert guides, top-quality equipment, and time management that allows you to experience nature without ever feeling like "passing tourists." The resort offers the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation, guaranteeing intimate and quiet spaces ideal for couples but also for singles and families.

Apukka Resort is a true gem, located just about 17 km from Rovaniemi. Outside the busy peak tourist season, it’s the ultimate getaway from the city—a place where you can experience Lapland's nature in its purest, most breathtaking form.

​While Apukka offers a great variety of activities, they have one absolute standout experience: the "Walk with Reindeer". It’s an unforgettable adventure that everyone should add to their bucket list! Walking through the forest with such a unique companion—who has his own strong personality, chooses his own paths, and leaves you wondering whether you’re walking him or he’s walking you—is pure magic. And if you’re lucky, he might even share a story or two in his own reindeer language!
