Frequently Asked Questions About Autumn Husky Tours
What should I wear for the husky tour?
Autumn in Lapland can be quite chilly, so we recommend dressing in warm layers. Be sure to wear a waterproof and windproof outer layer, along with sturdy boots, gloves, a hat, and a scarf to protect against the wind.
Please note that Apukka Resort does not provide outdoor clothing, so come prepared to stay warm and comfortable throughout your tour.
Can I steer the husky cart?
Driving the husky cart is included in the “Autumn Husky Ride on Wheels” tour. Our guides won’t be steering—instead, after receiving thorough instructions on driving and safety, you’ll be ready to take control. The cart can accommodate approximately four passengers plus the driver at a time.
A shorter ride is also included in the “Husky Farm Visit” tour.
Are the huskies treated ethically?
Absolutely! At Apukka Resort, the welfare of our huskies is our top priority. They enjoy a spacious dog yard and have constant access to trainers who are always nearby. To keep their muscles in peak condition, they regularly receive massages from a professional dog massage therapist (a human, not a dog!). Our trainers are happy to provide more information during our husky tours.
Get ready for a thrilling adventure in the Arctic autumn!
