Important Information
A brief walk is needed to reach the horses.
Our horse carriages are operated by professional guides.
Each carriage can accommodate approximately six to eight people. Our guide will assign guests to specific carriages to ensure proper weight distribution. Naturally, our aim is to seat families and parties together whenever possible.
Horse tours operate with a minimum of 2 participants.
Special diet options (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) are available upon request.

How to Arrive on This Tour?
1. If you stay at Apukka Resort:
- Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
2. If you need transportation:
- The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
- The bus stops are located at:
- Rovaniemi city center: Korkalonkatu 23. Check the location on Google Maps.
- Santa Claus Village: The bus stop (Napapiiri I) by the main road (road E75). Check the location on Google Maps.
- Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
- You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
- Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
- The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
- If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.
3. If you arrive by car:
- You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
- Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
- Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.

No, all of our horse carriages are operated by professional guides. Each large carriage can accommodate approximately six to eight people.
Can My Family Sit Together During The Carriage Ride?
Our guides arrange guests into sleighs, ensuring equitable weight distribution for a comfortable, spacious ride. Whenever possible, we naturally try to seat families together.
What should I wear for the horse tour?
We recommend dressing warmly and wearing comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Be sure to bring extra layers, as autumn in Lapland can be chilly. Don’t forget to wear sturdy shoes or boots suitable for outdoor activities.
